It’s Spring –

green grass and rich chestnut coats at Bluegum Horses

It is six months since the trio of young Suffolk Punches arrived in Australia the from the USA.

They have settled in well, and have chummed up with the two Australian bred Suffolk Punches, Capleash Eugenie and her filly Bluegum Lady Alice.

Recent rains have resulted in grass growth after a prolonged dry spell in coastal Queensland, although the drought continues further west.

As their summer coats emerge, all are showing a deeper chestnut.

In all the day-to-day chores, equine interest, supervision and participation is a constant.

De Korne’s Glad Eli one year and five months

Eli likes to be of assistance,  especially with helping  to vacuum the manure.  He enjoys standing at the back of the machine and have the air blow on his face and mane.

Just checking on the air hose and …

… unable to resist having a taster of the back of the seat.

Bluegum Lady Alice also enjoys supervising and sometimes helps.
